Wild Possum Fur
The Australian Brushtail possum was introduced to New Zealand in 1837 to establish a wild fur trade. Possum fur is a hollow fibre which gives a high-preforming and lightweight insulation much like a polar bear. Hence why the pioneers chose to use possum fur above other animal furs.
We only use 100% wild New Zealand possum in our products and follow the traditional techniques handed down by furriers.

Carol has been handcrafting New Zealand Wild Possum fur since early 1960's and continues to do so. Come into our factory store and see her hard at work creating these stunning fur products.
She makes luxury items for your home, such as throw's and cushion covers. High quality fashion accessories, such as fur scarfs, hats and even broaches. She even makes novelties, such as teddy bears, tiny kiwis and even the Willy Warmer.
